Although in reality if you are say 64, it does not matter which one you get, as 65 is just an arbitrary cut off point for getting a slightly different type of vaccine,born_again said:

According to my GP there is a shortage of flu vaccines. My hubby was meant to get one as a carer but was told he couldn't as they we're saving supplies for those 65+Spoonie_Turtle said:Yeah, it's not like when we had only the first vaccine and an extremely limited supply, thank goodness!
As both me (carer) & Mrs are both under 65 & we were told that there are different vaccines for under & over 65. Which was also born out when going for them as they had to different routes depending on under or over to stop any mix up.0 -
I was over 50 so eligible for flu but not 65 so not for Covid. I had to take my father for his and asked if I could have mine at the same time. They were happy to do so and also gave me the Covid as caring for him .Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Not this season for people in England & Wales it's back up to 65, a 64 year old can get one if they turn 65 before 31st March 2024Torry_Quine said:I was over 50 so eligible for flu but not 65 so not for Covid.
