Erudio NHS backpay problem

Hi all,
newbie here. I have had the displeasure of having to deal with Erudio for years since my old style loan was sold to them. I’ve had various issues (telling me account was in arrears when it wasn’t, missed paperwork not sent to me etc and have always successfully fought them after long winded battles)
I have deferred successfully as I have always been under the threshold each year.
I currently still am under their threshold for 2023 which is £3187.92 a month gross, equating to £38255 annually.
NHS and the government agreed the pay increase in May.
As such I got paid lump sum of back pay in June consisting of my normal salary, and backpay. This took me over the monthly threshold that month (£4368.32 gross)
I have provided them with wage slips proving my annual salary is £7000 under their threshold. (I earn an annual stay of about £31000)

They have told me my deferment has been declined and I am now to start paying £214 back from December. Am livid. This decision has been taken made purely on the June payment. They have completely ignored the fact my annual £31k salary is clearly stated on all my payslips.
Yes I have made a formal complaint and will go to ombudsman if needs be.
1. Any other NHS staff in this situation?
2. Can they use a one off lump sum in your annual threshold?
2. Can they use a one off lump sum in your annual threshold?
3. How many times can you apply to defer in a year?
4. If I need to start paying back whilst the investigate, can I claim the payments back? (I don’t want to risk not paying as the loan is due to be wiped next year as will be 25 years old)
Thanks all. This stuff dements me.

I’ll ask the forum team to move this to the student board.
It does seem unfair that erudio aren’t following the rules. If you earn under the threshold for the year, any payments taken should be refunded.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
