Currys - owe me £250 Love2shop vouchers

Could anyone help please? a long story which started on 1st June 2023.  I ordered a washing machine with Currys online, using £250 of Love2shop vouchers, as part payment, all was accepted, I paid £40 extra to have it delivered and installed on Sunday 4th June. Received email to say there was an error with my order, but not to worry as they were sorting it!  No one turned up and I did not receive any further communication from Currys.  I have made at least 6 calls with the promise that it has been escalated and a manager will contact me in 48 hours (still no response), and various times the call has been cut off.  4 webchats, numerous emails to find out that these are no longer used.  I tried a local Currys store, the manager and her team have tried, but they have had no luck. On the last call, I was told that they could not find any evidence that I ordered anything and that they do not accept Love2shop vouchers!!!
Can you hear me screaming?!

Yes I hear you screaming :D. How did you pay the £40?  If it was through a credit card or from your bank account it should be possible to prove you paid it.  If you paid for delivery and fitting then it should be possible to extrapolate that you bought something to be delivered and installed.

Curry’s used to be good. I think they’ve gone downhill these days.  I bought a spin dryer years ago.  They said they could deliver it Mon-Fri but not at weekends.  I said I worked and was only available to accept a delivery on a Saturday.  I didn’t drive back then.  I then said I would have to go elsewhere.  The manager of the shop said he’d bring it round himself.   :).  He did, no extra charge
  • I paid the remainder which was £251 via debit card, it showed in my online banking as 'pending', then it disappeared, as Currys did not call on the payment.  I have the email confirmation and all the payment details, which the local store have seen, Currys then told me they have returned the vouchers to Love2shop!

The call centre is located outside of the UK.

I contacted Love2shop and they say it would not be possible for them to return, and as Currys are now saying they do not accept Love2shop vouchers 🤷‍♀️

As you say, they used to be good, but not anymore.

Just had a look at the Love to Shop site paper vouchers Currys isn't  mentioned if it was a gift card Currys do accept them but might be instore only
The only restriction you can't purchase airtime or certain mobile phones and accessories
When I make online purchases I screen shot each page of the transaction.
Usually Currys ask you to setup a account.
Have  you disposed of the paper vouchers/gift card if not have you checked the balance
  • Following my initial post, I decided to write a review on Trustpilot, things are now moving.  I requested the the voucher code numbers from Love2shop, which they provided by return, so hopefully...
