Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, showers forecast for the day.
Dinner last night was LO roast, remembered to get chicken out to defrost so that may become chicken in a sauce with veg or with rice/pasta.
Work yesterday was busy today should be less so, we'll see.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC, hope work goes ok for you. (Glad I don't have to go to work anymore !)
I don't think it's frosty this morning, it's damp though.
Yesterday I went to see my old friend who lives nearby, I often visit her on a Monday, it's convenient for both of us. I took a birthday card, she''s 89 this week.
She's frail and has health problems but welcomes visitors and likes a chat.
I don't think there's anything much planned for today, there's the quiz tonight, we'll go to that.
I spent part of yesterday searching for a letter I'd received last week giving me a hospital appt, can't find it anywhere. Dh helped me to go through the recycle bin, but it's not there. I'm annoyed with myself because I'm normally very careful about this kind of thing. I'd had two other important letters last week and I know exactly where they are, so I'll keep on searching. The appointment is not for another fortnight so that's a good thing.
Hope everyone has a good day anyway, thinking of anyone who is poorly.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope the day goes well.
If the letter doesn't turn up Scarlet maybe you could phone them to confirm the day and time?
Hope your DD gets the job she wants Coxy, such a worry.
It's milder this morning thank goodness, took me ages to defrost the car yesterday. We had no heating in school until about 10am, it was 9 degrees in my office! Spent the rest of the day trying to warm up but didn't actually manage it until I got home and had a nice warm bath.
Went for my shoes, what a carry on - the girl server was very disinterested and just said they weren't there even though I had an email to say they were. She disappeared for about 10 minutes apparently looking for an ipad then phoned someone (after she had told me I would have to). Eventually she went away, came back with the parcel and more or less threw them at me, no apology. Wish they wore name badges as I would complain about her lack of customer service. Thankfully the traffic was ok on the way back.
Washing can go on when I get home later, must call to see DD after work as I have a couple of presents to deliver to them.
Hope you have a good day and are well. Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It doesn't feel as cold this morning but I have popped the heating on for a little while anyway. I can't see what the weather is doing but apparently we have a drizzly day ahead. The gloom and mist yesterday hung around all morning. A depressing sort of day.
I am meeting my DF for lunch today. Hope it happens after she cancelled last week as she didn't feel well. . I am looking forward to a good catch up. The venue was much quieter 2 weeks ago and we are hoping it's the same today.
Not much else will get done either before or after our lunch. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. COXY good luck with the claim! Maybe you will get to speak to a real person! CAMELOT I feel good customer service is a thing of the past. Common courtesy doesn't cost anything does it. Take care all be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc - hope work is okay today x
Thanks for the jumper advice @Floss - will give it a go at the weekend!
Hope the letter turns up @ScarletRibbons - maybe ask St Anthony for some help?
Terrible customer 'service' @camelot1001 - definitely in the wrong job!
DD has an interview today over Zoom for a permanent job. The agency have said to start at the temp job tomorrow though, so that's the plan. Will involve a commute to London and then the underground but needs must. She annoyed me yesterday - asked her on Sunday to do her washing (it didn't happen) and left the wash basket outside her bedroom door yesterday before work - didn't happen again. Not like she's doing anything else all day! It's called ADULTING!
WFH today. I have some Bay of E parcels to drop to the Post Office - 4 sales yesterday but only 2 have paid. More funds for the charity whoohoo. Dinner tonight is apple and pork burgers. DH and DD will have brioche buns with theirs.
Have a good day everyone,

Yesterday was cold even though the sky was bright blue. My cleaner came , it's been a month since she was last here, and spent ages getting rid of a maze of spiders webs in my bedroom. They're hard to see but once found go on a long way. Unfortunately she drove her car through flood water two weeks ago so it sounds really bad.The only real achievement for me was to book a ticket to see the ballet just before Christmas. One of my old (and rarely seen) friends plays the violin in the orchestra so we've arranged a post show drink. He's also a paramedic so it's difficult to catch up. Oh, and I washed the 14 micro fabric clothes from under my sink which were soaking wet from the leak. Even though the water was fresh it felt better to run them through a quick wash. I will cull them now, I've no need for them all. There's nothing much happening today, perhaps something will pop up.Camelot - what a disgrace! Can you phone the shop to complain? I know you have a lot to focus on just now but it's still something to pass on.9

Morning all
Feels quite chilly here this morning but no rain due till later this afternoon, two people coming today as one is sick ( they do seem to get sick a lot but I mostly get paid when they are off so not too bad) Rob turned up yesterday in his taxi and the driver said that mum told her to tell me he had no breakfast, I took him in and got him some toast and tea, his lunch consisted of a dry roll with nothing in and two Jaffa cakes 😡 he also had no pads, he wears incontinence pads as he sometimes doesn’t think to ask for the toilet, and no jumper on, it’s all been reported again and I am going to charge her for the food I gave him, I am happy to provide drinks during the day but food is expensive now so she will need to pay for it, I honestly think she has given up and just can’t be bothered 😡😡
Dinner tonight will be a chicken curry I forgot to get the chicken out last night so will do that after this, hopefully it will defrost ok by tonight.
I need to have a quick tidy through before my guests come.
Has anyone heard from Nan ? I’m not sure if she was going away or not ? X
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning everyone scarlet I hope you find your letter it’s frustrating when you are convinced you know where something is it’s a mystery Camelot I’ve worked in customer service one way or another all my working life and I definitely agree some people are definitely in the wrong job in fact some places you go they wouldn’t know if they had served you or not totally ignored although it’s only been a few I’ve had some horrible customers over the years but the nice ones have outweighed them . Not as cold here this morning but dark and cloudy I’m off to work now I will pop back at lunchtime for my soup I’m working with the bosses wife all week as the other girl is on holiday it was like walking into a fridge yesterday it was so cold but she was going out the first thing I did was put on the little oil filled radiator and she had done no work so icy the time I had all the tumble dryers on I warmed up a bit but when she came back before I went I told her if it’s as cold the rest of the week I will be staying at home I’m not playing her spiteful silly games 129 days to go I’m past caring now and the reason she has spit the dummy out is because last week she asked me not to retire because they didn’t know how they would manage and I actually said to her I would have to see if I will be any better off as I don’t want to be taxed to death and I got a lecture on how the business was worth nothing without staff and they have to pay tax and they are past retirement age why should people not be prepared to work so I told her well she will have to do all the heavy work all week and see how much longer she works roll on Friday . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning everyone
Izzy your boss sounds unbelievable! I'm really lucky I've had the same lovely boss for 20 years. She's retiring next year though so we're a bit in limbo as to whats happening - it seems likely we'll become part of school. We have a couple of younger member of staff who have never worked for anyone else and tend to take the P quite a bit asking for time off etc - I think they're going to get a big shock.
Redruby - I feel sorry for Rob it's a good job he has you. You'd think his mum would realise you're going to report her though.
We had a nice dry day yesterday but it's back to drizzle this morning. My brother's coming to stay at mam and dads for a couple of nights today so I have a lovely chippy tea to look forward to.
A few jobs to do this morning then I'm at work at lunchtime.
DD is keeping little one off school again today - her cough is a bit better but she's still full of cold. I got her some more uniform yesterday from the second hand box at school so she's got plenty to last a while now.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

Camelot, maybe send a complaint email after the weekend?
Izzy, not long before it will be under 100 days...I wonder how many customers will be lost when you're no longer there to do the heavy work?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all. I cleared the table yesterday so i can start on the curtains for the landing, and crossed five things off the list that swelled to 24 things. But as they do, things snowballed so the kitchen also had a clean and all the little bits that don't get done often were done. I've phoned a carpenter to possibly do the windowsills, I could do them, but they'd be adequate, not great, and I would like great. Today I have the upstairs bedroom to clear because he's coming tomorrow to measure so I want it looking empty. It's not on my list either so that's another one to add. I found another pair of chairs on fbmp which are exactly like the other two i got for my sister but they are white bodies and wood seat, so I'll fetch those on Thursday. Gives me a day to take them apart if needs be and screw/glue. And we're off to OHs mum for tea, toad in the hole, I'm actually looking forward to that.camelot, I'd complain, I'm mostly polite to anyone, but if they act like they're doing me a favour and grumpily at that, all bets are off. TA, hope you get your meet up today. Scarlet, do they send you texts as well? Or it may on the NHS app? Coxy, I'd go with leaving it until she realises too. It might take a few times though
fingers crossed for the interivew. when does your new job start again? Gers, it's lovely to have something to look forward to. Happy culling! Ruby, what a pain, poor bloke, and it seems he knows no different. Izzy, you make me laugh..and if she's past retirment age and you are approaching retirement age, why does she think it's ok for you to do the heavy work and not her? And as for people not wanting to work, times have changed, if you're going to be a heavy job, people want to be remunerated for it, or at least share the load. Harrumph to her. dp1, enjoy the chippy tea, hope the little one gets better soon. Take care all, it's sunny but brrr! Wrap up or charge around the house to warm, or just stick some music on and dance about
