Hello all hope your well,
Just opened a current account with them just wondering if anyone's had experience with them, was looking at using the switch service I've got a few direct debits and mostly standing orders (most every 28 Days)
Is this quite painless? I've asked chase and they don't do weekly payments. I'm assuming they'll not transfer?
Woukd like to use this as my main account (Moving from a flex basic Nationwide)
Thanks Richard

I have a Chase account. I would only use it as a secondary account.
For me, my main current account needs to tick the following boxes:
i) More than one means of access (chose two from "phone app", "website", "bricks and mortar")
ii) Able to pay in cheques (in order of preference: via an app, via an ATM, go in branch)
iii) Ability to write a cheque
If you are chasing a switching bonus, then open a burner account.
Also note that if sticking with Nationwide may allow you to move up to a "normal" Flexaccount or flexdirect, and if you haven't got a credit card, and want one, you may find it easier to get a card with Nationwide.

They definitely do have the facility to set up a weekly payment from the current account. Set it up new if it doesn’t transfer with the CASS.Arch0

Thanks I get paid 4 weekly (so the date in the month varies when I get paid but always a Friday) so need a few payments to come out thenArchie_Duke said:They definitely do have the facility to set up a weekly payment from the current account. Set it up new if it doesn’t transfer with the CASS.0 -
I opened an account. It didn’t do direct debit, so I closed the account.0

When Chase first entered the UK market the Direct Debit facility wasn’t on current accounts but has been added since.
Hopefully they will launch their credit card soon.Best Regards,

There's a whole thread dedicated to Chase, albeit gone quiet for a few weeks, so easily missed:

Do they still ban previous members?0

As far as I'm aware, if you close down all your Chase accounts then they won't allow you to open a new one down the line. You can open multiple Chase accounts however, so if you've still got at least open, open a second before you switch away. As long as you keep at least one account open, they don't stop you from opening more.Lions_89 said:Do they still ban previous members?0
