One of my bank accounts to switch

Hi I have a Halifax bank account and 2 savings accounts with them. If I switch my day 2 day bank account to another bank, eg lloyds or santander, to get £switching offer, will halifax transfer/close all my accounts, or just one that i'm switching? Thanks for any advice. (My 2 savings, 1 is not used, the other has 4 months left on a 1 year account fixed rate savings so can't close)

The Current Account Switching Service only switches one current account, leaving any other accounts unaffected, but if the terms of savings accounts rely on there being a nominated current account at the same bank then that can cause difficulties, so you need to check the Ts & Cs.

How about opening a second account with Halifax (usually very quick via the app) and switch that one? Or if you want to switch your main one, you could keep the spare one just for ease of transferring your savings out when the time comes.

Ok, I will have a look at that, thanks. It seems that you need to have a current account to have the savings one.
