My current contract for 'Electricity Only' ends on 31 Oct 2023. I am looking for best and reliable company to switch to. Don't mind if its a Fixed Rate. Already have a Smart Meter.
Don't have gas and do not want a 'bundle' as offered by Utility Warehouse. Tried looking on the various compare sites, but finding it too confusing.

Best customer service is Octopus. If you have economy 7 forgo customer service and check out EDF rates for your region

I don't have Economy 7. Have electric only for appliances and two electric radiators which are on all day in Winter in room used for working. Rest of house is oil heated.1

Octopus have the widest range of TOU tariffs. There's almost certain to be one that suits you.1

Just had a look on Octopus and only seemed to give me the option of one tariff which is variable. I'll keep delving!0

Do you have a smart meter?0

Try this
https://octopus.energy/tariffs/
Scroll to the bottom and put in your postcode
It will show all current tariffs.
Use the filters chose domestic and if you have a smart meter select smart.

Yikes, Octopus are offering no s/c for business at 34p for elect and 10p for gas but not for consumers but it does give an idea of what you would have to pay (no caps for business so possibly less for consumers), would bring my monthly bill down from £40 to £15 for nine months of the year plus gas over winter at £300-ish.0

Is that including VAT, which for a business is 20%?wrf12345 said:Yikes, Octopus are offering no s/c for business at 34p for elect and 10p for gas
Aside from VAT I don't understood why business energy should be more expensive in the absence of government subsidies. Surely it cost the supplier the same and they have more chance of collecting or avoiding debt from businesses.0 -
I’m trying Fuse Energy. All done by mobile app. So far all good. DD at the end of the month.
in Cornwall flat rate 26.37, SC 49.78 inc.
I’ve waited 2 months for BG to return my credit.1
