BT Digital Voice Alternatives

Hi
I've just got an email from BT saying I will be moved to Digital Voicein the next 30 days.. However, the BT Digital Voice service requires you to a BY Hone Hub... I have my own equipment (in terms of a more reliable Draytek modem) and mesh wifi from TP Link.
Having the Home Hub means I have to comporomie my broadband setup and can't use a third party router. There are various forums where you can hack a home hub, or the simpler alternative is to move to a VOIP provider.
There doesn't seem to be any guides on this on MSE. Has anybody got any suggestions on reliable VOIP providers - as you are now able to port your numbers to them, and may be cheaper than the BT calls and broaband bundle

Andrews and Arnold have a very good reputation and offer a VOIP service. I'm not sure how you would port, currently, if you port the underlying number, it triggers a broadband cease. It may be that you need to migrate to DV and then port, but not sure if that would still trigger a cease. A&A may be able to advise
