Hello All,
Anybody out there who has experienced using Lloyds Trust card at a Tesco Pump and the message ` You have taken card out too soon` when the card is still in machine. I punch in my number then get the message and can go no further. Card works everywhere else and at the kiosk. Always worked at the pump before. Cashier was not much help and had little interest. Just in case anyone had a similar problem and who did you contact. Plenty garages I can go to, but Tesco is on the doorstep. Thanks in advance.

Could just be a error with that pump, not correctly reading chip.
Did you try more than 1 pump?Life in the slow lane1 -
Had problems in store with Tesco last week. Used my card to buy groceries, no problem. Went to pick up something at the customer service desk and tried to use the card there and it was refused. Tried 3 times and then tried a different card - also refused. Tried again with the first card using a different card reader and it was fine. No idea why the first one failed but obviously it was Tesco's issue not mine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If the former then the reader was working fine, if the latter then it likely wasn't.0

I've managed to get the self-service interface stuck before - usually removing the card and repeatedly pressing cancel gets it to the initial state again, from which you can give it another go.

Is the card one of these new environmentally friendly ones that seem to be a bit thinner than the good old plastic ?
