Roof leak + wasp nest in roof. Which order to sort out?

After the recent Storm I noticed some damp around attic ceiling downlighter. A couple of drops of water and a stain.
When I pulled the fitting out slightly to check for more water and then let it air, quite a few wasps flew out.

From outside can see wasps flying in and out just under a ridge tile about the same location as the downlighter.

Should I try and get the wasps removed before getting the roof looked at/repaired? Or did the roof and do wasps later.

The void where they are is less than one foot high, it's an attic bedroom.

Many thanks

The nest will be dead and abandoned very soon, but ATM wasps can attack you if disturbed.

A friend of mine who's a Thatcher always kills them before he starts any work on a roof. It's dangerous working on a roof in a place where the wasps may think their nest is under attack.

    Do you know how soon?
Over winter or by end of November for example.
Would like to fix roof soon.

Apparently, when the temperature drops to 0C, but don't take my word for this.
