Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Cold out this morning, I think there's a frost but it's still very dark. Yesterday was glorious - the washing all dried and was actually warm when I brought it in, all now folded and put away.
Back to work for me today, half term over and unless there's another strike (which is looking likely) no more days off until Christmas!
Lovely Coxy and WL could meet up, shame you got so wet.
Hope your roads open again soon Gers.
Is Nanny still on holiday?
Countdown to the wedding, I'm taking a days leave on Friday to get organised, all very exciting.
Hope you all have a good Monday, take care. XX9 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's frosty here brr, yesterday was a lovely day, but cold.
Lovely that Coxy and Wicked Lady met up.
It'll be a nice week for you Camelot, you'll be looking forward to the wedding.
Pity about your jumper Gers.
You've been busy as usual Izzy. That's the trouble with baking, people eat it!
Dp1, hope the bairn will be ok to go to Llillidorei, it looks wonderful.
TA, how annoying for you about the Virgin people. You get lost in a maze of pressing option numbers, being on hold for ages and so on. Msddening.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to any poorly people, and those whose lives have been affected by the weather, take care folks.

It was a chilly night even though the day was gorgeous. My lovely neighbour came round early evening to fix the blocked sink. The U bend was clear, the gunk was on the connector to the drain outside so he soon dealt with it. There was also a strange wee leak in the cupboard which turned out to be from the Qooker tank overflow which couldn't drain properly. Once the blockage was cleared it stopped. His wife came too so we settled down with crisps and G&Ts whilst he worked and kept some as a 'reward' for his efforts.Today my cleaner is coming so I'd better put all the under the cupboard stuff back before she comes.Jumper still felt. 😀10

Morning all
Feels very cold here this morning quite a chill in the air and more rain due this evening, only got Rob coming today the other lady is poorly let’s see what he brings for his lunch today 🙄 not much probably ! I think we will go out for a walk before the rain comes and maybe get a cup of tea somewhere.
Dinner tonight will be cottage pie which I will make during the day, I have enough to make two small ones so they will do us for days when dd is on a late which she is today.
House is tidy and washing up to date will just run the hoover round this morning.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning everyone it’s a cold one I seem as if I have spent two days in the kitchen but I won’t have much cooking to do this week and probably next I’ve made plenty of meals and froze them . I’m going to have a coffee and a catch up with my friend this morning I’m not at work until 12 . Camelot I hope this week flys over for you Gers pleased you got your sink sorted. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's very gloomy out there with a bit of mist as a bonus. At least it's not raining. That's due back tomorrow.
I have washed my hands of the Virgin email. I found a forum with lots of folk having the same problem and impossible to get help from them. You find yourself going round and round and getting nowhere. You can't just ring and speak to someone as you once could. Everything is done online. First via a useless bot asking impossible to answer questions, followed by a virtual assistant who requests answers to the same ones you have given to the bot. which takes forever with sausage fingers on my phone. And finally the promised phone call from an IT person, which doesn't happen! It's all too stressful so I have resurrected the Gmail which I used to use. Trying to change my email address online with companies, banks, etc presents another problem! Some are easy to do it with some far from it. I'll get there in the end.
No plans for today but of course there are always jobs if I care to look for them. (I don't have to look far!!) How nice for COXY and WL to meet up. It's nice being able to put a face to a name, instead of just imagining what someone looks like. RUBY poor Rob, he doesn't have a very caring mother does he. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care and be safe xx

Morning all. Bit dull here today but at least it's dry.
Yesterday consisted of lots of laundry and things drying out from Saturday. We have washed and hopefully reproofed 2 jackets in the washing machine plus my melodeon case spent the night in the airing cupboard! Unfortunately we have a problem with the pump in the airing cupboard as it won't switch off so we need to contact our plumber. We had the same problem last year and he claimed to have fixed it so fingers crossed it can be fixed again.
Today I need to get some food shopping and also think ahead to Tuesday's dinner. We have DGS for the day tomorrow and need to keep him a bit longer as baby brother has an appointment at the long jaundice clinic at the local hospital. DD thinks the jaundice has finally gone but it won't hurt to get him checked over.
Hope everyone's day goes well. Start of half term week here in MK.10 -
Morning everyone
It's a nice bright morning here though very cold. Yesterday afternoon it was lovely and sunny - I spent a couple of hours sorting the garden for winter. I've emptied some planters and moved others to a more sheltered spot and picked lots of leaves up. The shed still needs a tidy so I'll try to get that done this week.
I have a few jobs to do this morning then work at lunchtime - our last week before half term.
Hope everyone has a good day today x9 -
Morning all- seems quite a bright day, but nippy. Nothing much planned today, not sure who is picking DGS up yet. Tea will be something with pork tenderloin, I usually do it with honey & garlic sauce which usually goes down well. It's my youngest brother's birthday today, 64 - I remember him panicking when he turned 20
saying he was getting old. I handed his birthday card over to him at the match on Saturday, saved me a stamp!
I have a load of stuff to take to a CS, not so much clothes but small electrics and other bits, craft stuff etc., but I need DH or DS1 to give me a lift. There is a shop in town needing donations but I can't manage it all on the bus and there is nowhere to park. Perhaps I'll look for a bag of clothes I could take there.Anyway, have a good day all, Camelot- getting exciting now ! x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
Just a quick one because I need to finish tidying before the relief cleaner gets here. Steve has taken L to work and B has gone for his COVID jab (allowed because of Steve's condition).
The spare room is ready for Steve's sister and all the bathrooms and floors will be cleaned later so I'm feeling fairly relaxed.
Courgette risotto for dinner.
Have a good day.9
