I'm fairly sure (not looked for evidence) that Lloyds do not charge the fee for the first month.

Deposit £2k in December to get the fee waived in January.

It doesn't say that in the terms and conditions, but unless you actually open your account on the second working day of the month, you'd be opening it part way through a billing period, so you wouldn't get charged for the first month.

Thanks for the answers all, that’s cleared that up and I’ll make sure I quality for december and going forward, it’s a shame there isn’t anything showing you how much more you’ve gotta deposit to qualify like there is with halifax, you have to keep track yourself with lloyds.

If you use the Lloyds app all you need to do is scroll to the bottom of the month and it tells you how much you have put in that month..
