4 months outside of warranty

Garmin fenix 6 watch - comes with a 2-year warranty. Mine has lost a button making it unusable four months after the two year warranty has expired. These watches cost 700 pound. I expect it to last longer than two years four months. Do I have any weight behind arguing with garmin for a fix or replacement?

Did you buy it directly from Garmin? Your statutory rights are with the retailer.

You could always ask Garmin anyway - have you searched for other people's experiences (whether with this specific problem or generally)?

No, I bought it from an outdoor shop in Scotland. Looking online lots of people have said this has happened to them but I think most were within warranty

Outcome btw was that Garmin were incredibly helpful and replaced, no questions asked

Theyre very good. I had 6X and kept getting issues. They upgraded me to a 7X sapphire solar for free to say sorry.
