Replastered bathroom a metal edge was put around the window area for sharp finish ( I guess) but not covered by the plaster mostly.
Can I just emulsion over this or does it require metal primer/red oxide or what.
It's not subject to condensation but I remember a kitchen I had done where eventually it started rusting. Much damper room and it took someyears to rust and that had a light skim of plaster.
Please don't ask for photos. I'm mist coating now and it's through gritted teeth with a duff hip and back so no time till tonight.
At the moment £360 seems like a bargain to do the tiny but awkward bit of decorating but trying to save

Corner beads come in three flavours - Plastic, stainless steel, and zinc plated mild steel. All three can be painted straight over and do not need any special primers. So once the ibuprofen has kicked in, just use what ever paint you are currently using. If your plasterer used the zinc plated stuff, it will probably start to rust eventually - If/when it does, treat it with something like Jenolite. The next owner of the property can replace the beading with stainless steel or plastic if they feel it is a problem (or tile over it).
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Thanks Freebear.
Honest it's mostly the dark and rain and I'd rather be on the moor watching deer and ponies
But you can only put off necessities so long.
