Caravan on driveway

Hi there I have just finished building myself a driveway because me and my partner are wanting a caravan so we can have some holidays in it as my partner suffers from many mental illness and this would be good for her well-being. Problem is I have just found out that my housing association as is the same with many others throughout the country do not allow caravans on the property and you are to ask permission but from the reading I have been doing I can't find any examples of anyone actually getting permission there is plenty of examples of people being told to move there caravan or else. So my questions are has anyone actually been given permission and if so what's the best way to go about getting it.

If the rules say no caravans why do you think you should be allowed to have a caravan on your drive ?3

We’re you permitted to build the driveway? If it’s a HA property I’d expect them to query that change too.1

and have you applied for a dropped kerb for the driveway....?1

The tenancy agreement says ask for permission it does not say no you cannot The driveway is irrelevant all permission was given curb is dropped all done by a professional contractor with liability insurance who registered with my local council so the driveway is irrelevant. Now can anyone answer the questions I actually asked please.0

It's going to really depend on your area.
If built up (such as an estate) then the odds on them saying no are higher than if you are in a rural or semi rural area.
Also depending on the conditions of the estate (if it is one) when built and if there were any covenants. Many have that say no business vehicles or caravans.
You will find homeowners who adhere to those conditions and wish for others to do the same are more likely to raise it as an issue.
I guess the final concern could be neighbours. And if your caravan blocks the view etc
Must be a pretty big drive. There are plenty of HA/Council tenants who have caravans without issue but also loads who have had permission declined. If your permission is declined start looking at storage1 -
If you’re not wanting any other form of advice or assistance being offered, just an answer to the question which would rely on someone else in your fairly specific circumstance happening along, then you could be waiting a while…🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That does not make sense shall I ask a specific question or questions and then just get random advice from people that has nothing to do with the questions asked. I have no problem in patiently waiting for the advice I asked for not just random tit bits that have nothing to do with the questions asked.0

Hampshire H thanks for your relevant reply2

Not an answer to your question but you could look for a campervan or trailer tent instead of a caravan.

Most people that I know now or in the past have always stored their caravan on a caravan storage site when not in use. They tend to bring the caravan home a day before and load up before heading off on a trip, they never leave it on their drive for more than a day or two at most. Even if you have restrictions you can probably get away with doing something very similar.7
