What % is the first IHT installment?

I've worked out IHT due from mum's estate is 110k. Mum's savings etc come to 25k. Is this enough to cover an initial payment?
Who decides what the first payment should be? Do I need to phone HMRC?

Not really. Just energy and water bills. House will be sold eventually.RAS said:The executors/administrators need to make a minimum 10% down payment. Are there any other calls on the savings?0 -
OK, so ringfence a year's utility bills and insurance (you have got un occupied insurance, I hope) and pay off some extra against the IHT bill.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1
