Gas and electric bills seem far too high.

Hi sorry all I had a few big arguments with neighbours recently that have been on mind and forgot to update.

I can check bill and see what it says, my meter readings were basically me taking photos, I did stupidly delete a few though thinking they were not up to date.

hot water was set to preheat for a few months when I moved in and I disabled it when I realised, water does take a very short time to warm up though.

Going back to reasons why I think its strange, have 2 friends with same supplier one on pre pay one on regular, one has a 2 bedroom house and his combined gas and electric is 85 a month on average though he only moved to the house at start of the year and has thermostat set around 19 degrees, he cooks a lot and uses washing machine more than once a week.

Another friend is in a studio flat though overall not too much smaller than mine and runs a fan heater 3 hours a day this time of year, and has no gas heating, he spends £20-25 a week this time of year and cooks every day (so high electric usage whilst cooking) in summer he uses £10-£12 a week.

Does anyone know if a wetroom waste pump uses a lot of electric?

The problem is you can't compare other friends and properties especially if they only tell you their monthly payment.

You really need to talk in kWh of energy use. 

You could get a plug in energy monitor for all the electronic things you use but unlikely you can do that for a wet room pump unless you turn everything off and just run the pump and go and check usage at the meter or if smart via the IHD.
