Missed Parkingeye appeal deadline

Hi, new to the forum and my first post.
I've been away from home for the past 6 weeks after a difficult family bereavement. On coming home I received three letters from Parkingeye demanding payment for overstaying the 2 hour limit by 11 minutes. I tried to appeal via their online form but it says I've missed the deadline (as I wasn't home when the letters arrived). The newbie section advises not to use Royal Mail, but I have no choice now. What are my choices?
1. Do I still send in my complaint/appeal via Royal Mail?
2. Do I appeal via the POPLA method now (Parkingeye's letter states POPLA won't review appeals not assessed by Parkingeye)
I'm going to complain to the retailer (Wickes) where it take place about this too.
Any advice will be much appreciated. Apologies in advance if this question has been answered already on this forum.

Press Wickes, if they are the sole retailer attached to that car park, but if it's a multi-outlet retail park, you're looking for the Managing Agent to whom to complain. They are often listed near the foot of the welcome board at the entrance to the car park.mistagroove said:Hi, new to the forum and my first post.

If you want to try that to make some point, do so, but don't expect any positive result. Make sure you send first class and obtain a certificate of posting from your PO counter. Do not send 'Signed For' - waste of money in this context.2. Once you've gone beyond the PPCs appeal deadline, the POPLA boat sails with it. No prospect of now appealing to POPLA.Can we see a redacted copy of the first letter PE sent to you please? Cover personal details, any PE references and your car's VRM, but leave all dates showing. Both sides please. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just complain to whoever owns the retail park.
No paying, not even if you get a Court Claim which you'd defend and win, on lack of consideration period.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad, I'm going to complain to the shops first after finding the emails to CEOs, complaints dept. Is there a template to use to complain to the retailers or do I compose my own? After I've complained to the shops, I need to find out who the land owners are.Coupon-mad said:Just complain to whoever owns the retail park.

Just an update after writing and complaining to the retailers. They can't help unfortunately. One retailer said they have could tried cancelling my ticket if I had a design appointment with them on the day and accidently overstayed. They couldn't help as I was only browsing what I wanted to buy from them. So, no luck with the retailers.
Not had another letter from Parkingeye yet. I guess it'll need to be after 4 weeks the third letter demanding payment was sent. On previous occasions where I've had Parking Charge Notices, I didn't hear from those parking company again after their third letter. I wonder if it'll be the same with Parkingeye. I guess only time will tell.0 -
But the advice was:Just complain to whoever owns the retail park. Not the retailers.
We say the same thing (day in day out, more than once every day...) and it is astonishing that people drive right past the entrance and contact details they need:

Thanks Coupon-mad, that is my next step and complain to the landowners. I thought I'd try the retailer(s) first.Coupon-mad said:But the advice was:Just complain to whoever owns the retail park. Not the retailers.

The third letter I received from Parkingeye says I have 14 days to pay, not 28 days as I thought. Do I still complain to them by letter telling them I'm not paying? So far, I've not contacted Parkingeye.0
