Been Scammed, Need your help . . . ebay/paypal

I don't know what the transfer limit is for a single Paypal transfer, but if I transfer money out on a Monday it is in my Bank account on Friday. This may vary according to which bank you are with.
When Paypal freezers an account I don't know how they would distribute any remaining funds to outstanding buyers. You should get upto £150 back if the Paypal protection was £150 and he qualified to have that showing on his listing.

If you find the User Agreement Para 13.1 from Paypal's help page, I believe you would be entitled to the full amount of £135 if you have gone through the dispute process and has been escalated in to a claim

thats good news, have done everything that you have said, dispute was done on the 19th and this saturday will find out if i will be able to claim, i should be able to as seller wont be paying me. still learning as i go along in this horrid journey. :mad: and again thanks for your input, appreciate it.

If he doesnt respond to your dispute with paypal don't they automatically refund you??!?

The other trick is to pay a friend the balance, pay for the item, then get friend to refund. Much quicker

Not necessarily apparantly if the money isnt in their account they dont always refund, they say that if the account receives money they will attempt to retrieve it or something along those lines. I have been lucky and always got a full refund, however a friend of mine is still a lot of money down as she waited to open dispute and account was cleared
Anyway good luck and hope you get it all back, it makes me sick that people can do this sort of thing.

i had to pay first then i would win the item.

That part set alarm bells ringing, doesn't that mean the buyer just sent money, as opposed to paying for the item with Paypal.

Could it be that it was "requires instant payment by Paypal" that way you have to pay immediately or someone else can win the item?
