Is there a timeframe on how long it would take before I can forget about this rip-off invoice which has been incorrectly issued.

Yes, anyone has up to six years to pursue a debt through a court.

Is there no option for a closure ? Is it six years from the date of the offence, if so then 5 years left now.. :-)

There was no offence. No fine. Nothing to worry about.  Closure will come when they file a court claim using Elms Legal. Read some threads.

In fact, although extremely unlikely, they can write to you for ever more requesting payment for the alleged debt, but after six years they are unable to use the courts to help them.

Apologies got my terminology incorrect. I meant the "so called offence from their side" and trying to scam a huge amount of money for no apparent justified reason.

Thanks for all your inputs again.
I'll update if I hear anything
