Another monthly DD down for me!
No OP this month cos I am still throwing all my money towards the CC debt and the catalogue.
Can't wait to start OP-ing.Debt Free - 4th June 20250 -
I've paid £501.58 this month. That should help a bit - as it all does. I too am also battling credit cards at the same time. paid £10K off this year, go me!
Need to confirm a new rate with the bank today esp now rates have held and they are warning to go up. 2 year fix here i come (and an extra £300 a month) bt at least I will know where I am at.
Hoping to pay another small lump from my commission later this month too. We shall see.
Onwards and downwards!

It is really difficult battling the mortgage and the debt at the same time but we can and we will get there. No OP for me until October 2024. I am really doing all I can to get these CC's gone by the time my 0% offers run out.Don't want to get other BT and 0% offers because if I just stick to this rather challenging plan it will all be gone then I can switch my focus to getting my home the way I want it and getting the mortgage paid off earlier.Plan is to be MF by the time I am 47!Honestly I cannot wait to meet these goals and it's going to be such an achievement!I'll need to get a new rate in October 2025. Hoping I can switch to another 5 year fixed and just pay it all off in that 5 years.Debt Free - 4th June 20250

I like your determined attitude @_Dolly_Rocker_ . It'll get you where you want to be. I am really glad I've started this journey. £500 a month on OP is a lot for a single mum, but I don't feel sorry for myself, I feel very proud and lucky. I also love my job so I know I'm unusually fortunate.
I didn't really want to end up with all this grown up responsibility on my own, but the reality of sharing it with someone that was dragging me down has shone a new light on it. I'm in charge of my life like never before, and am 30% into my pension goal, 80 (instead of 200) mortgage payments away from freedom. I feel like I've taken away a lot of anxiety by doing this, particularly with the looming interest rate rises of the last year or so.
