You could win the top ten albums of 2007, as chosen by the Guardian.
Over the party season, if you prefer ice in a cocktail rather than on the bonnet of your car, and would rather a samba than a Silent Night, then make sure you include Sagatiba cachaça in your seasonal shop to bring a little spirit to your festivities.
If you don't already know, cachaca is the most popular distilled alcoholic drink in Brazil, and the essential ingredient in the country's national cocktail - the caipirinha - a blend of the sugar cane spirit with lime, muscavado sugar and crushed ice. Until a few years ago, this cocktail was seldom drunk outside of Brazil, that was until Sagatiba brought to our shores their exceptionally high-quality cachaca, allowing us cold Brits to mix cocktails to the South American standard. And we've really warmed to the Brazilian spirit, the caipirinha has become the drink of choice for hip young things wanting to get in the groove with some of that laid-back good taste.
Brazilian spirit
Sagatiba is a young Brazilian company, determined to introduce the spirit of Brazil to new generations and nationalities of drinkers. And they seem to be getting it right. The Sagatiba Pura is distilled from fresh sugar cane juice to make the premium cachaca, while the Sagatiba Velha Esplendida is made from a blend of the finest Brazilian cahacas slowly aged in oak barrels.
And fans of the drink are not just the image conscious, in December 2005, Sagatiba was chosen as one of the best distilled spirits in the world by the Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago. The Velha and the Pura achieved 91 and 92 points respectively, and were classified as "exceptional" - the only cachacas ever to have attained this accolade.
The spirit of Sagatiba is all about the spirit of Brazil - it conjures lazy long days of sultry sounds and hot nights of samba. And to cheer you through the winter blues Sagatiba have teamed up with the Guardian to give away our favourite albums of the year. So you'll get the chance to shut out winter, kick your heels back, pull out the cocktail shaker and have your ice with the taste of summer.
Complete the fields below for your chance to win the top 10 albums of the year as chosen by the Guardian, they are:
1. LCD Soundsystem: Sound of Silver
