Has anyone had recent communications with Richburns, they have started on my case for a charge by Scottish Power that I do not owe. I work abroad so find it difficult and expensive to communicate using telephone. They sue a non reply e-mail so just keep sending threats but there is no response address.1

This is an old (and somewhat confusing) thread. You probably want to start your own to make sure people see it and can help.scott4148 said:Has anyone had recent communications with Richburns, they have started on my case for a charge by Scottish Power that I do not owe. I would suggest you don't correspond about an alleged debt via phone (some DCA have ben found to selectively keep parts of a recording to prove you admitted to the debt). If you go to their website they should have contact details on there and you can either send a physical letter or email (google suggests customerservices@richburns.co.uk )
You can use either to send them a copy of the 'prove it' email:

I registered case with Ombudsman service (https://ombudsman-landing.pages.dev/) and got resolution and closed my case also got £100 compensation (which is nothing compared to the pain I had to go through unnecessarily!) I got a case worker allocated and Ombudsman investigated, My case was straight forward and verdict from Ombudsman was favouring me. Nasty guys @Scottish Power didn't agree and asked for a review, after review also Ombudsman service stick to their verdict. I kept copy of all my comms in file and send to Scottish Power or any debt collectors when they approach me. I am free from these nasties for last 1 year.! Feeling great though I took a week to get the case explained and evidences uploaded to Ombudsman. You can ignore emails. If Scot Power or any company they use, have anything important to say, they will write.
Certainly do not phone them.
You have to remember that you are dealing with the UK's most incompetent company0
