Question about Zopa app

My partner has an ISA with Zopa, she has just received a text from Zopa saying the app will no longer support Android 5/6 after the end of the month and they recommend updating to 9 or latter.
Unfortunately, she has my old moto G5 and is running Android 7 and I assume it will not update anymore? Do you think the app would work with Android 7 if not, what can she do short of getting a new phone.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

Pretty sure with Zopa that you can logon via their website, bypassing the app.1

If I had a mobile phone of that vintage, I would install LineageOS on it. This has a good chance of allowing the Zopa app to work but I can't guarantee it.
The other option is to consider switching the ISA to another provider, such as Marcus, where you aren't reliant on a mobile app to access the account.1 -
I use Zopa. Some accounts are accessible via website but some are mobile-app only. For example I can only see my fixed term savings on the Zopa website, but I can see all my savings account on the Zopa app.jaypers said:Pretty sure with Zopa that you can logon via their website, bypassing the app.1 -

If they're only officially withdrawing support for Android 5 & 6 then it's possible that she'll have no issues with 7, but the clock is obviously now ticking until that version goes the same way. If she has a fixed rate ISA, then she'll definitely need a compatible phone when it matures, at the very least.
It's possible to upgrade to Android 8.1 on the Moto G5 according to the specs table on GSM Arena so that might be worth a go but, as it looks like the G5 stopped receiving security updates at the start of 2019, I would be looking to upgrade to a new phone if it's to be used for online/app-based banking personally, as the security of her phone will be affected and situations like this will also only get more frequent as time goes on.1
