The only benefits that qualify are means-tested.  Carers Credit isn't, to my knowledge.

Your parents won't get a WHD each unless they live separately.  Otherwise they may be talking about the Winter Fuel Payment which is only for pensioners.

I don't understand how your parents both get the warm home discount, because it is credited To the electricity account, so unless they both have separate electricity accounts then I don't see how it would be possible

The only benefit I get (as I'm working full time) is Carers Credit, which is a benefit that is apparently not widely known. It is a benefit that will guarantee my National Insurance Contributions are paid if I lose my job for any reason as I am my partner's carer.

I don't understand why you're claiming carers credits if you work full time. Based on this information it's unlikely you will qualify for the WHD.

Been searching for an answer as I got the letter this morning. I knew I should have just come to mse. 

Thanks @Spoonie_Turtle for adding the info or I would have never known.
