Dehumidifier Size?

Going round in circles trying to work out what I need to buy.

I live in a 3 bed end terrace, two adults and a dog.

The house is really well insulated but dry laundry indoors (on a dry:soon heated airer) which is causing a lot of condensation on the windows downstairs. We have a bit of condensation upstairs in the master bedroom and the bathroom. Bathroom has no extractor fan, leaving the window open and a window vac generally does the trick.

Anyway I want to minimise the condensation before it turns into a problem, I was looking at a 12L and a 20L Meaco Arete One. The main problem area is the laundry so the dehumidifier will need to be downstairs most of the time.

Will leaving the doors open and running a larger unit prevent the condensation upstairs? Would I just be better getting two smaller units?

We do have an attic conversion as well - it's just a storage room as no windows but I'd be keen to make sure there's no excess damp up there too.

I have a MeacoDry ABC 12l and use it primarily to dry washing. I run it under an airer in a sealed room and it takes ages (10hrs+ in laundry mode) to dry jeans if there is no other heat source, but there was no condensation. If you used it next to your heated airer it would be a lot quicker, though it would probably need to be emptied. It is quite heavy and I wouldn't want to be regularly moving it up and down stairs.
You can run it on a landing and it says it will draw moisture from adjacent rooms if doors are open, but that effect would be negated if you had open windows. I think the best solution for condensation upstairs is to install an extractor fan in the bathroom, maybe with a humidistat.

I have a 12L/day dehumidifier which I bought from Screwfix about three or four years ago.  It is recommended for areas of up to 24m2, but I find it sufficient for a 1200sq ft house as  I only use it in one room at a time with the door closed.  Considering 20L/day cost at least twice what a 12L/day one costs, I am quite satisfied (or should that be smug) with the one I bought.

I have had 2 of these (one in cellar and one on landing) for the last 9 years and can highly recommend them
