No credit history so no credit?

Hi all
I do all the admin in our house and so most of the bills etc are in my name. My husband does not "do" computers and I am sure there are many like him. When he tried to take out a contract with Vodafone recently he was turned down because of his credit rating. How can we remedy this please? He does have car insurance but we pay up front.

He can try another provider. Failing that, get him to check his credit files (the data, not the rating).
It sounds like he needs to start building some history. He does not need to "do" computers in order to build some history.1 -
