Delay in Receiving Settlement after November 2019 RTA and Part 36

Hello, fellow forum members,

I hope this message finds you all well. I wanted to reach out to the community for some advice and insights on a matter that's been bothering me.

In November 2019, I was involved in a road traffic accident (RTA), and it was determined that the other party was responsible for the incident. After a lengthy legal process, on August 22nd of this year, a settlement was finally reached in my favor.

However, it's been nearly two months since the settlement, and I haven't received the money that I am rightfully owed. I wanted to ask the community if this delay is normal, or if anyone has experienced something similar in the past. I'm growing increasingly concerned about the situation, and I'm not sure what steps to take next.

I've been in touch with my legal representatives, and they have assured me that the settlement should have been processed by now, in accordance with Part 36. But, as the days go by, I'm beginning to wonder if there might be some complications or if I need to take further action to expedite the process.

If anyone has any advice, similar experiences to share, or suggestions on what I should do in this situation, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm feeling a bit lost and frustrated, and your insights could be very helpful.

Thank you all for your time and support.

Best regards

Depending on the sums involved it can be just slow process of referrals to get sign-off on the payment etc depending on exactly who your solicitor has been dealing with on the other side or it can be an intentional ploy to delay payment as long as possible
