It was the difficulties in contacting EDF that were the last straw for me.
I have found EDF swung between being excellent to really dire in the short 10 months I have been with them.
    1)   The transposed my meter readings when I switched to them (easily done) but correcting it took multiple attempts where there person said they had corrected it when they hadn't.  I had to raise two complaints (first one said they resolved it - they hadn't so I had to do another)
    2)   We needed our fuse upgraded from 60amp to 100amp.     That involves work from our electrician, the DNO and the supplier. The supplier needed to put new meter tails in.    I dreaded that call but EDF arranged a visit the next day.   Unbelievably fast.
    3) Their billing method was obsolete and awful.  Coming from a supplier that used Kraken to EDF was like returning to the stone age.    However, EDF is now on Kraken and monthly billing reduces potential issues.  However, their front end and configuration is not as good as it could be yet. It will be interesting to see if they open it up once everyone has moved to Kraken.

If it wasn't for the fact that EDF are, by some margin, the cheapest supplier for me, I would be following you out the door.

  • At the time I jumped away from them @dunstonh I was with them for gas and trying to switch my (then E7) electric to them as well. They would have reduced my bills by in the region of 40% I reckon, but after discovering how impossible it was to sort out any sort of issue with them, I decided that even that wasn't worth it!

dunston the reason I want a printed bill is because BG decided I hadn't paid them (I had) and no amount of using customer service that assured me it was all sorted I had debt collectors put onto me within 5 weeks.
Neither would BG speak to my bank. It was dreadful and took hours of my time.
The only way to get a result was to send the bill receipted by the bank to the Complaints Dept. with a 2 week wait for an appology.

They did this to me twice. I'd paid on receipt of bill but they insisted I hadn't.
So now belt and braces - time to go through the bank and their customer service and frightened 8 weeks of daily harassment.
Time to send a letter and copies of payment half an hour.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Bank would not talk to them even if they did.
You could provide a copy statement to prove payment.
