NatWest Card Query

Hi all,
A quick question. I was pre approved for a NatWest credit card so used the link in MSE and headed over to NatWest, it had prefilled in my name and address and then when I went to the next page it said the application couldn't be continued online. Do you think this did a hard search and then rejected me? or is this something else? I'm not sure whether to try another application/card or whether to leave it. It's not showing up as a search on Experian/Equifax or Clearscore.

Probably not, credit checks are normally the very final stage of a credit card application after reviewing terms and everything, but call to be sure.
