    Same for me
  • my fix is up end of jan so i`m going to jump on tracker in feb if the prices are below the svt
  • No, I'd roll the dice and go to SVT
I would go for variable, if you fix now you pay 5% more now for 2 months, and if the CI forecasts come true they are less than 105% of current , so the six months of peak usage you will lose 5% for 2 months and a small amount in q1 Of course my maths are not to be trusted.
I of course am a net exporter of leccy, so I only care about gas

Octopus are offering a fix at today's price capped rates with a slightly cheaper standing charge.

However difficult to fit us in the options provided as currently on tracker unless that goes nuts then we will switch to cosy.

Yes, I'd pay a 5% premium to fix for a year
Another vote for a 1 year fix here. Did that last month when my 2 year fix with Eon Next ended. Sees me through winter at a known rate with all the uncertainty there currently is. If anything, I'd look at changing it to a 2 year fix now - no penalty if I stay with Eon.

    I can't foretell the future  :( ... I've tried ... just a week (8 days) ago I was happy.

Anything could happen, but if I twist (I'm on EDF SVT) and I'm wrong it'll cost me £75, at worst good ol' Ofgem's cap will look after me.
