Damp patches on interior walls after heavy rain

If it's only gone at the eaves(which is often the first place it goes), you only take the bottom 3 or 4 tiles off, put new felt on, and then replace the tiles. Fitting eaves protectors also is a good idea.2

If you are having repeated slipping tiles, then fair chance your roof is getting close to the end of its life, but you can almost always delay the 'inevitable' for years.

Thanks.
I'm not clued up on roofs, but it does look as tho' many tiles are coming loose. And your ridge tiles need re-bedding.
The obviously loose tiles are down that gulley - I wonder if that means the ends of the battens they are on have rotted? I don't even know if these types of tiles are nailed in place, or just 'sit' on battens? If nailed, then fatigue looks likely.
I'd ask a couple more roofers to have a look. Local ones should be familiar with these roofs from that era, and should really 'know' what's going on.
The water stains are clearly 'leaks', and not, say, condensation. Is there really no sign up in the loft? How close can you get to these spots?1 -
