Bought a packet of fresh cranberries - and now wondering what to do with them (apart from cranberry sauce that is!).
Puddings/breakfast dishes/part of savoury dishes/ all ideas welcome!0 -
Whilst shopping in Tesco last night, I bought a big bag of cranberries which were half price :j
Never bought them like this before, but love cranberry juice and dried cranberries, however when I threw a handful of them in the my mouth, I couldn't believe how sour/sharp they were  Nothing like I had expected!
SHould I be doing anything to them or do they taste like this?0 -
They do taste like that. I wouldn't ever eat them raw cos I can't stand how sour they are. But make muffins out of them. Or make your own cranberry jelly for xmas! Cooking them brings out the sweetness.:rudolf: I love xmas!0

Hi Jenny,
They are very sharp but are great used in baking. There's an older thread with lots of ideas of how to use them so I'll merge your thread with it.
