DCBL Letter of Claim

Hi,I would appreciate if anyone could advise me please. I have received a letter of claim from dcbl for 2xPCNs from 2019 which I have ignored(one for overstaying and one for parking on double yellow lines-different days, different locations). I have requested SAR from the parking company MET Parking ,please find their reply. I will provide requested details to dcbl and ask for 30 days delay.I don't know what the next step would be. Thank you.

I know what they mean on a public highway, but what is the meaning of double yellow lines in a petrol garage?

What do you think double yellow lines mean?  I'll give you a clue: they DON'T mean no stopping and they don't mean no loading.

You can stop legitimately on DYL.  I do all the time, e.g. if dropping off a passenger or picking someone or something up.  It's what they are for.

These cases are always easy to defend.

No worries at all about a court claim.  Calm down.  It's fine.  This is where you win.

There won't even be a hearing if you do as we advise.

Yes. Why not? They already have that information so you are giving them nothing new.
  • You are dealing with the intellectually malnourished DCB Legal. Stop worrying and just follow the advice you receive here. Have you read the Newbies/FAQ thread yet?

If/when they issue a claim, you will defend it robustly using the Template defence and they will, eventually discontinue before it gets to court. You can place money on that. Have a read:

Thank you.I have read the Newbies thread. Is there a way to settle before CCJ, paying just the fines without the adding costs of £70 for each fine?

    Not that I know of.

Any hint from you that you are 'uncomfortable' with the situation will only lead to them rubbing their hands with glee on spotting a potential 'easy target'. They might even add more charges when they see how desperate you are.

They are certainly not going to reduce the amount when they see a victim panicking.
