Anyone got recent experience of buying in Newcastle and shed some light on search turnaround times? I’ve been told about 6 weeks vs other council 2ish weeks. Does this sound right?
It seems average is 12 weeks to complete If straightforward. Wondering if I need to add some weeks on to this timescale. (No rush for me as buying a new build so just attempting to plan)

if you look on the search company websites it gives you some kind of indication
As we were not buying with a mortgage i went directly to a search company for the local search and they told me when the appointment was arranged for
Is it in newcastle city council itself?0 -
