ebay click & Collect non collection

Options
Hi I sold and item on ebay  click & collect ,the item was never collected, ebay have asked me to give full refund surely the buyer should loose my cost of postage. My item was a fixed price listing with free P & P but that just means the price had postage included as there is no such thing as free postage. If i fully refund this i will be £3.20 out of pocket yet i fully completed my part of the contract between us. How do i stand ?

Unfortunately if buyer can't or won't collect they are entitled to a full refund  - but only once you get the itme back safely.

This can be an issue with the official ebay click and collect system and the reason I disabled it many years ago. It doesn't stop all issues though, as anyone can refuse a package, or have i returned to a PO or courier if they aren't in for delivery- and again if they end up being returned to the seller the seller must refund in full.
