Despite my initial reservations I have just switched from Octopus Flux to Cosy Octopus.
I have a lot of solar panels and battery storage.
I would have liked to go back to Economy 7 but I have read and been told by Octopus that there could be issues with this so I have decided that Cosy Octopus is my way to go., I don't want trouble switching in a few weeks time.
I have said a couple of times that I don't like it but I think with my battery storage it will work as well as E7.
Now that fixed Outgoing is pretty close to Flux export rates I think it will work quite well.
So I have gone for Cosy Octopus and Fixed Outgoing at 15p per kWh.
On my worst predicted day I am about 30p a day worse off than E7 but I feel it is prudent to get on something that works now whilst still available.
The Cosy cheap times actually work quite well to charge the batteries, provide heat and do hot water when we want it.

So we don't have any solar or batteries with our ASHP we are staying on tracker as we have estimated we could safely get up to an average rate of 23p kWh with tracker before considering to move to Cosy. Even then we may still stay on tracker due to its flexibility and not having to do most things in the 6 hour window.
However Octopus have been very good with us and to make any future move to Cosy they have pictures of our outside unit/serial numbers/inside controller etc on file as ours was a system put in as a one of build by an architect so no MCS or grant for the first owners.0
