DRO, renting & when to move

Options
I am wondering if to either apply for a DRO now (I'm eligible) or wait until I have moved house in hopefully next Spring.  I've been back living with my parents but I plan on trying to find a rented property. It will already be hard for me to get a rental because I only receive Universal Credit, so a terrible credit score on top due to DRO won't exactly help either.  Therefore moving before starting the DRO makes sense.  BUT as I will likely need to pay 6 months rent upfront anyway if not more to secure a place (parents can lend me the money), will my credit score really make that much difference to my prospects of getting a rented property, as I'll have paid upfront?  I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has experience with any of this.

Your credit score is irrelevant and will vary depending which of the companies you look at.

What is important is your credit record, but most rental credit checks only cover insolvency and CCJs, backed up by income and bank statements.
