Travel Insurance Query

I am looking at taking out a travel insurance and was wondering whether in general it covers for any delayed flight such as connecting flights. I have a 2hr stop over for the second leg and wanted to know if my 1st leg was delayed and impact me getting the second flight, would a travel insurance cover me.
I am specifically looking at the Tesco standard cover.

Insurance only covers you for what you cannot get back from elsewhere. Assuming you have continuous tickets and not a "self transfer" then your airline is responsible for both arranging the replacement flight and looking after you until that flight is available.
If you read the terms of the policy with Tesco then in principle it will cover it, assuming the airline doesn't have to, but there are exceptions listed like if you haven't allowed enough time or delays at security. Before buying certainly check the interchange times recommended by the relevant airport and make sure 2hrs is above it. If you are buying a self transfer some agents sell fairly unachievable transfers.0 -
You should make sure that you book a through ticket direct with the same airline even before you take insurance out.
The airline then has to be responsible to take you from A to B and then C.0 -
As above, if you are booked on a through ticket then the airline is responsible for getting you to your destination including any costs such as an overnight stay at point B if your next flight doesn't go until the following day.
