Had to return an ironing board as its collapsed after 8 months, silly me thinking i had a year warranty like Asda Dunelm etc. No not Home Bargains 30 days is all you get for non electricals. Welds failed on the unit.
A fool and their money are easily parted.

  • I would write to Head Office and escalate the complaint, not only is this unacceptable in terms of it being fit for purpose it could also have been very dangerous if it had collapsed in use tipping a steam iron onto anyone in the vicinity.

Unless I have missed it I cannot find any reference to 30 day warranty on non electrical goods in their terms and condition. In fact under the warranty section there is no timeframe mentioned at all.

Are you sure that they understood that the item was faulty and NOT being returned for any other reason?

took the ironing board back to the store with the broken part. They were adamant it was 30 days and i told them it was not fit for purpose but the were not having any of it. Told me to complain online which i have done and got this reply,

I would expect ironing boards to last for many many years, there’s not really much to go wrong  :D
