Did your insurer recommend a claims handler (e.g. Auxilis) and they engaged the credit hire vehicle for you? If not, how did you come to use Enterprise for a hire car? Did you pursue a claim directly with the other party's insurer?
Most proper accident management companies have their own credit hire arm like Enterprise and Auxilis (which used to be called HelpHire which may better describe what they do).

Thanks - I'm only familiar with Enterprise from the angle of them being a hire car company, not as them being akin to Auxilis.

They've come at it from opposite backgrounds... Enterprise was a hire car company that developed an accident management function given they had the cars and already had in-house claims staff for dealing with accidents in their own vehicles. HelpHire/Auxillis was explicitly setup as a credit hire company as were others like CCL but some of those have diversified; I think CCL has closed down but they moved into flexible leasing for small companies as well as authorised hire for insurance companies to maximise the use of their fleet of vehicles.
  • Hi I have a friend who is going through the same scenario at the moment. Did you have to pay the £7.5k? Or was it settled by the third party insurers
