I've just gone through TopCashback and then MoneySupermarket to Tesco Home Insurance.  After clicking the checkout button, I get refused for an unknown reason.  Any ideas?

You'll never know, you just don't meet their criteria.

Have you checked all of your credit files for anything odd?

My MSE/Experian credit score is 992.  I have insured with them previously.

Insurers change their underwriting criteria frequently, our meeting were weekly. Tesco in particular, depending on how long ago "previously" was has also changed its underwriters a few times over the years.

It's nothing personal, you just aren't the customer they are looking for right now. Next year you may be (next week you could be)

@Gummomarx the made-up Experian (or any other CRA) number has no bearing, it is what is actually in your file that matters but even that may have no bearing on the Tesco decision.

I have had quotes refused after referral from comparison sites purely because I wanted to leave my home unoccupied for 32 days.

Just off the phone to Tesco - the agent could see my application and no reason why it didn't go through.  He offered to complete the transaction on-the-spot but couldn't guarantee I'd get my cashback.
I'm going to try again in the morning.
