Probate granted in 2021, no money received

Probate was granted in July 2021. 
I haven't received any money from the executor yet. 
It's likely to be max 15000, maybe less. 
What action can I take please, and is it likely to be successful?
The executor does have sufficient funds.

Have you asked the executor? What have they said?
is there a property involved?
if there are risks e.g. property not sold then they may need to keep money back to cover that risk e.g. repairs, insurance, but we would need more info.

There is action you can take, but asking them is by far the easiest and cheapest action for starters.

You must be in contact with them to know about this residue so what have they said about not distributing it?
If you haven't been in contact then how do you know the figure as there may have been costs e.g. solicitors.

So what have they said?
its not really possible for anyone to make suggestions unless you tell us the executors stance?
or are they refusing to talk to you?

Contact the executor - or is that some sort of issue? Nobody here can suggest anything else which is likely to help move this to a successful conclusion, particularly in the absence of any relevant facts.
