Ill be honest I'm not sure whether I'm being a bit unfair as to expectations I have from them as they are obviously doing what they need to do as sending me documentation i am just highly impatient  and hoping the process is faster than in reality it could be

    Thanks for your help guys

Does anyone have experience of Halifax doing a final credit credit at completion ?

    regards

The upside for it taking longer is a) increased interest in any deposit stashed away and b) the continual decline in mortgage rates! That's my silver linings at the moment.
    Increasingly money-conscious

No chain? Then exchange should be as quick as your mortgage takes to arrive with your conveyancers, or the Council search result to come back, whichever is last. It might be a month - depends how good your conveyancers are.

Some conveyancers will drip feed their clients with documents as they do the legal conveyancing, which can be very confusing and no real overview of what it is all about, but the better ones wait and simply send you a global complete written Report summarising (and attaching copies of) all the legal documents but explained in a laymans language as to what theyu mean, how they affect you, and lots of other gemneral information for you to consifer when proceeding - which should be a very helpful and interesting read.
