Applying for an Acer warranty for an eBay purchased laptop.

I have purchased a new, unopened and unused Acer laptop from a private seller on eBay. Is there anyway to get a warranty from Acer?
To register for an Acer warranty I need a purchase receipt. I'm assuming that Acer won't accept a copy of my eBay order as the seller is not an authorised dealer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I am reluctant to contact the seller to ask for details of his purchase.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

PS: The seller has been on eBay for over 20 years with 100% feedback so I am reasonably confident that there is nothing dodgy about the source of the laptop.

They may not have one. I’ve sold things on eBay that don’t have receipts because I’ve won them in competition. Most expensive were some speakers that went for about 300 quid. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
You have to assume anything you buy from eBay has no manufacturer warranty or guarantee.
With some items the warranty travels with the device, which is a bonus. But otherwise just assume its not covered.
Wouldn't hurt to pose the question to the seller - I've had the question asked to me several times in the past!
The seller response may also give you a little insight as to where the laptop has originally come from - ie, overstock, office clearance, personal unwanted item, etc3 -
Thanks everyone for your comments.
I buy regularly on eBay and I know that you do not get the same warranty or guarantee as from a high street retailer or manufacturer etc. The purchase price savings more than compensate for that. I can't recall an eBay purchase that failed and needed a warranty repair or replacement so over the years I am well ahead.
This laptop would have cost me £699 on Amazon. I paid less than £400 for it so a 45% saving.
Acer laptops are usually reliable so having no warranty was a small risk that I was prepared to take.
If I can still get a warranty that would be an added bonus but I am not concerned if I can't.
I will message the seller and see what happens.
Thanks again.A man walked into a car showroom.
