Switching from BG to octopus

Signed up to octopus yesterday completed everything. Got email from octopus saying I’d already switched supplier I haven’t. Been with BG for 15 years. When octopus looked it said I’d left BG and joined BG. I haven’t done this, has anyone else had this? Octopus are going to retry on Friday (5 days). How can this happen

It’s because British Gas recently transferred your account to their new billing platform and this is treated as a transfer. There have been other threads here with the same issue.0
