i served for 10 years 97/2007 can u take my pension as a lump sum?

    Simple answer: No

    Service from that time you would have been on AFPS 75

    This would give you a preserved pension at age 60 and a terminal grant of 3 times your preserved pension. When you left you would have been sent a letter saying how much it would be per year based on the rates at that time. 
    If you were 60 now that amount of annual pension would be increased by between 1.5097 to 1.5627 depending on when in the 2007 you left.

    Rates are updated each year and published in Pension Multiplier Increase Tables.

    You can apply for your military pension 3 months before your 60th birthday.

    I would suspect you probably have to wait till around 2039/40
