in Credit cards
Hi, am going on holiday to america soon and will need a credit charge for un-expected payments. I've not got a credit at the moment so bit confused on which one I should get. I won;t be using it much, more than likely it will be used at the hotel once when booking in. Could anyone recommend me one please?

I would say that if you are going to pay it off in full, get the Nationwide Cash Reward card so you get an element of your money back!
There was a thread that suggested ppl weren't getting money back on overseas spending. I certainly did in the US in Feb/March this year, has anyone else been more recently to confirm that this is still the case?0 -
One recommendation.
We got asked for ID when paying by Credit Card nearly everywhere we shopped in the States, so I would recommend either carrying around your Photo Driving Licence or Passport with you if you intend to make a purchase on your card.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000

As the above poster stated, the USA can be quite hot on needing photo ID. You should remember however that driving in ANY state in the US without carrying a driving license with you is against the law; so if you intend driving while out there you should have your ID with you anyway!0

No longer get money back on spending abroad. I think this was brought in March / April this year."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
