Mainly I want to see if it correlates with the other at -22C. If it does i might give hisense a call to check the freezer thermostat.1

Hi @Qyburn and @Chrysalis - hope I haven't made a bad recommendation here and please accept my apologies if that's the case. I have 2 of these, I used one in the freezer and one in the fridge, and they happily worked for 3 months or so, with the "only" issue being the blank display on the freezer one. I stopped using them after 3 months because by then I had all the data I needed. Makes me wonder if I was just lucky. Fingers crossed you get them working and sorry again if I gave you a bad steer <this space left blank for hanging my head in shame icon>

No worries, its still useful even if it only works for a day at a time.

I'm keeping an eye on this thread, I'd like to have some way of monitoring my fridge remotely and need something reliable. Please keep reporting on how they all work.
I've got a 12 year old themo/probe type device, with the wire that goes through the seal, the display part magnetically sticks to (often falls off) the outside of the fridge. I use it to check the temperature of my hibernating tortoises who are snoozing in there until spring. If the alarm went off, fridge is in the integral garage so might go unnoticed for a while.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
