Can anyone advise?

We have boiler and plumbing insurance and both have been renewed within the last few months. We have now received two phone calls from a withheld number, possibly from India and from the company "No 1 Home Emergency" (not our insurers) telling us that they are calling to reduce our cover as we are both pensioners. They are implying that they are our insurers and say to move forward they need us to confirm our bank account details, this is obviously not something I am prepared to do over the phone. My concern is that this company appears to have full knowledge of my husbands dob, our bank account details and how much we have been paying monthly!
From what I can only presume is a company who have acquired our information and are extremely persistent in trying to assure me that I am not giving out details, as they already have them.
I will add that after hanging up on them on two occasions, they have immediately called back to "reassure" me and have only given up when I wouldn't answer!
I presume that instead of saving money I would be taking out yet another policy!
I wish to know if anyone has had any dealings with this company and their pressurising sales?

looks like a scam, smells like a scam.....
You could call the company you know you are insured with and ask them if there should be a pensioners' discount.
Then when you know this other company isn't legit have fun with the calls. Ask them to hold so you can get the police fraud team on the other line. There there are lots of companies trying to sell white goods insurances. Many are linked to scams and the ICO has recently fined some companies and published this:

I would continue hanging up and perhaps consider a callblocker, either via landline phone (BT phones) or if you are a customer of Sky or TalkTalk they have free services. Truecall also make standalone units. Another option, is let the call go to answerphone.1 -
I have reported them to the TPS0
